In its 11th year, the DIRECT Conference brings together businesses and experts from all areas of the beverage alcohol industry. The event started with a focus on the wine industry, specifically the direct-to-consumer channel, and has evolved into a more holistic event, offering value to people who are passionate about and work in the beer, spirits, and wine industries.

While the name of the event might call to mind the direct-to-consumer channel, the event is built and the content is curated for producers of all shapes and sizes, with diverse distribution, and their industry partners.

DIRECT’s purpose is to provide inspiration, education, and connections, and this year, we’re looking to the future of the industry with a focus on coming together to Build Tomorrow. Over two full days, attendees will experience inspiring keynotes, educational breakout sessions, and opportunities to connect – and party-down with – your peers, industry experts and thought leaders, and the ShipCompliant team, all in the spirit of working together to shape the future of our industry.


This year’s theme, Build Tomorrow, is a representation of our focus and excitement for the transformation of our company, the industry, and the business landscape. The four tracks that we’re designing the conference content around are:

The presentations, panels, and group discussions within these tracks have a lot to offer to a variety of roles across the industry. For those in the business of compliance, we will have representatives from the Wine Institute, as well as federal and state regulators, to provide insight into the complex rules and regulations under which your business operates, and how they will affect the future of the industry.

If you’re the tasting room manager in a winery or brewery, you can expect best-practice sharing and educational sessions on the topics of marketing, sales, and customer experience. You will learn strategies to approach the changing demographics of the industry.

Those who plan to attend from the C-Suite will hear from business leaders, from inside and outside of the industry, on how to grow your business, market considerations, and the changing landscape of the market.

Lastly, sessions will be organized to educate attendees and discuss how technology is changing and shaping the industry. In the spirit of the theme, you will learn how you and your business can use technology to your advantage.
